A Thorough Gutter Cleaning Completed in St. Louis, MO

I was hired to do this gutter cleaning job by a fellow realtor. He wanted to have his client's gutters cleaned for them as a closing gift. This house was located in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood, right behind Ted Drewes. Upon arriving at the home, I did my initial property inspection. It was very evident that the gutters needed to be cleaned. The leaves were overflowing from the gutters and there were numerous sticks and branches on top of sections of the gutters. The home had a slate roof, so I was unable to walk it. Instead, I set my ladder up at key points of the gutters and began to remove all the leaves and debris from each section. Once I had the large bulk of all the debris cleaned from the gutters, I fired up my pressure washer to begin flushing the remainder of the gutters. Most gutter cleaning companies will just use a leaf blower to blow all the leaves out or remove everything by hand. As this will clean most of the gutters out, it does not flush all the small stuff from the gutters nor allow you to see if the gutters are actually draining correctly. Since you can't see inside the downspouts, you have no idea if there is a clog or not until you introduce water. This is why on every gutter cleaning job I do, I always flush the gutters and check all of the downspouts. A clogged downspout can cause serious property damage if not addressed properly.

Once all of my gutter cleaning work was completed, I cleaned up any mess I made on the property from the cleaning. I then took after-pictures, wound my equipment up, and hauled off the debris I had cleaned out. This gutter cleaning job in total was three large black trash bags full of leaves and sticks. I then sent the before/after pictures to my client to prove I did the work I said I would do. He was beyond thrilled with the quality of service, so much so that he hired me immediately to do his house next!
