Gutter Cleaning in University City, MO

One day I saw a woman make a post in the St. Louis Contractors Page looking for recommendations to help with her basement water problems. She wasn't positive what was causing the problem, so I had asked her if her downspouts diverted the water away from the property and if she knew the gutters were clogged. She informed me that the downspouts do direct the water away from the home, but that the gutters were most likely clogged as it was a 2 story home and she never had had them cleaned.

I gave her a remote quote the same day, she agreed to the estimate, and we got it scheduled within the week. Upon arriving to the property, we did a full inspection of the perimeter to look for potential issues. We had the customer move her car from the driveway to avoid getting any debris on it. After our inspection, we set up our ladders to clean the 2nd story gutter. Upon getting up there, we found that there wasn't a significant amount of debris in the gutter, however the downspouts were clogged at the top. After removing the clog, we flushed the gutters and downspouts to ensure that the gutters were flowing properly. We then proceeded to do the 1 story gutters and noticed the same problem on one of the downspouts.

This project was a quick and easy job for us but still just as important and impactful compared to a gutter with heavier debris build up. All it takes is a handful of debris to clog your downspout and make your gutters start to overflow and cause damage to your foundation.
