Vinyl Railing Cleaning in Arnold, MO

Vinyl railing cleaning

I was recently contracted to clean the vinyl railings surrounding a pool deck. It had been pressure washed last summer and the organic growth had already come back. Upon arriving to the job site, I looked around the perimeter to check anything that could pose a problem. This usually entails previous damage, vegetation, electrical outlet, and any delicate surfaces. The reason this is important is because I would be applying a cleaning solution to kill the organic growth before rinsing it off and if the cleaning solution dwells too long on vegetation or certain surfaces, it could potentially cause damage. To prevent this, I cover all electrical outlets, vulnerable surfaces, and hydrate all the surrounding vegetation. Once I have properly protected the property, I apply my cleaning solution, let it dwell, then follow up with a rinse. Cleaning railings and spindles can be incredibly tricky because there are multiple different angles and sides you have to ensure are clean. If you rush the project and don't have an attention to detail, it is very easy to pass over or miss a spot. The biggest difference between cleaning with chemical versus just high pressure is that the organic growth will grow back 4-6 times faster if you just blast it away with pressure. By using the industry standard cleaning solution, I am able to completely eliminate the organic growth from the surface and prevent it from growing right back. Also, when you rely on using exclusively high pressure, you run the chance of causing damage to the surface you're cleaning. This is especially true in regards to cleaning vinyl siding.

The customers were incredibly happy with the results and more thrilled that they now don't have to clean the railings as often as if they had to do it themselves.
